Marble Canyon - Grand Canyon of the Colorado

Grand Canyon Rafting Trips

The Grand Canyon of the Colorado is simply the pinnacle of North American whitewater rafting trips. At 280 miles the Grand Canyon is the longest white water river trip on the continent, has some of the largest and most challenging rapids, and world-famous scenery across its entire length. The Grand Canyon is also the most challenging river trip from the standpoint of logistics. For private rafting parties, permits are extremely difficult to obtain, but recent changes by the National Park Service have improved chances over the incredibly long waiting list of years past.

Approximately two dozen commercial outfitters offer all kinds of Grand Canyon rafting experiences of varying lengths and degrees of involvement for the participants, from pampered rafting vacations to row your own inflatable kayak the entire way. Rafting trips down the Grand Canyon are life-changing experiences, where you can forget about car keys, cell phones, and all the trappings of our modern world, while you take a hiatus for nearly of month of jaw-dropping scenery and high adventure.
