Stayed here on July 14th. We were told that a couple of months before there were bears at this site but that they had been chased away by rangers using pellet guns. However, we spent the whole night chasing a fairly aggressive mama with her cub in tow off or our boats. She still managed to damage our cooler and a dry bag. In the end she made her way into a dry box and run off with some food. Too bad, this otherwise would have been a nice place to spend our first night.

I withdraw my previous statement on the pools. Pools were great in July 2005. Wonderful camp.

Stayed there 5/30/05, very defined pools with gravel bottoms, definitely worth the stay. HUGE campsite.

2003 Lots of level space. Easy landing at lower end of camp. Hot springs on bench above camp. Very hot at source, with no definite pools. Pool near river is tepid at best.
