This campsite has a difficult landing. It is pretty much in teh middle of grouse creek rapid, stay right and be prepared to tie off quickly. Much better camp than upper grouse. The ranch stuff is really cool.

In July of 2005 a fallen ponderosa covered a good part of this fine, large camp. This is also a good place to stop for a visit to the Tappen cabin.
